Specimen Required

Container/Tube:
Preferred: Greiner green no gel lithium heparin tubes (2 tubes)
Acceptable: Lithium Heparin (Mint) DO NOT SPIN
Specimen Volume: 5.0 mL

Collection Instructions:

Fill 2 lithium-heparin blood collection tube(minimum volume 5 mL) and gently mix by inverting the tube several times to dissolve the heparin. 

Send to lab ambient.

Note: If a Mint Lithium-Heparin gel tube is used for collection, a sticker or note should be placed with sample, "Do NOT Spin".
