Immunotyping will ONLY be done as appropriate.

Immunotyping will either be performed in-house by immunosubtraction or sent to referral lab for Monoclonal Protein Study by Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS)

Collection Instructions:

Serum gel tubes should be fully clotted and centrifuged within 2 hours of collection.
Red-top tubes should be fully clotted, centrifuged and aliquoted within 2 hours of collection.

Specimen Minimum Volume

0.5 mL- No immunotyping reflexed

2.5 mL- Immunotyping is reflexed.
