Collection Instructions:
- Tube should be filled completely and mixed by gently inversion.
- The tube must be tightly capped at all times
- Testing must be completed within 30 minutes of collection.
- Samples received or tests ordered after 30 minutes post collection will contain a chartable comment on the result stating "Recommended specimen stability exceeded; results may be affected."
- Samples received or tests ordered more than 2 hours post collection must be recollected.
- Whole blood samples should be transported to the lab at room temperature.
