Preferred: Lithium Heparin (Mint)
Acceptable: Gold gel, Tiger top, Red top, Sterile cup, Sodium Heparin (Dark Green)
Specimen Volume: 1.0 mL
Collection Instructions:
1. Indicate the specimen source and source location on sampe container.
Processing Instructions:
1. Centrifuge to remove any cellular material and transfer into a plastic vial.
Body Fluid samples that visibly contain blood or other particulate matter in solution should be centrifuged and evaluated for acceptable instrument sampling.
Body Fluid samples must be inspected by an MLT/MLS/CLS for acceptability to test.
